FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY

About 2 years ago, I left the church.

There’s not too much you need to know here. I deeply rooted myself in the comfort of belonging to a community, to a family. I had stumbled off the path of righteousness about 6 months prior to planting myself in this community, and once I got lost and frightened, I ran back to what was comfortable. Church was what was comfortable.

About a year later, my comfort zone was invaded, and my world got turned upside down. What had been comfortable to me for months was no longer comfortable, and I didn’t know what to do.
